Age, mileage and difficulty of replacing the part would be the major factors. Last Summer I serviced a '98 Taurus with the 32 valve engine. The a/c system worked fine bit the clutch bearing was shot. I don't remember the mileage but it was high, real high. Rep... Login to read more.
