Right now for aftermarket it is only reflash tool. Much faster than Tech 2. Tech 2 is diagnostic back to 1994. If you only get one for GM at this time make it the Tech 2. I have both. I use the MDI for updating only. I use the Tech 2 daily for diagnostics. The... Login to read more.
