I don't think it will work well. I TIG and MIG a lot of aluminum. TIG is better for thin stuff, and you can vary the heat input with the pedal. This is needed for aluminum, as it takes a lot of heat to start a puddle, and much less to keep it going. A MIG mach... Login to read more.
