Heres a little trick that may help:

To clean/recover VCM and Set Back to Default run this program.

C:\Program Files\Ford Motor Company\IDS\Runtime\[...]

Then run the updates on IDS and the VCM. This has helped me a few times so hopefully it will you. Login to read more.
