In the Autoenginuity setup up guide, it says,

"WARNING: DO NOT USE A POWER INVERTER WITH AN ISOLATED GROUND WITH ANY USB PRODUCT CONNECTED TO YOUR VEHICLE. A GROUND LOOP MAY OCCUR."
