I believe the 97 has a Nicad battery while the 190 series uses NiMh - also the lower charging amperage of the 97's charger may have an effect? I wasn't aware Fluke even made a 12V charger for the 190 series (let me know if they do - I have a 199 and would like... Login to read more.
