True unless you are servicing a 2006-2007 vehicle. The Snap-on tool will not reset oil change lights on these newer cars. Vag-Com stays current about as fast as VW upgrades. While the Snap-0n tool is great and you know I use it all the time, it is not current.... Login to read more.
