I use a signal flasher and 2 1157 bulbs connected in place of the fuse. When the short circuit is present, the 1157 bulbs will flash bright. The 1157 bulbs will limit the circuit draw to a maximum of 4 amps, enough to find the short and safe enough not to smok... Login to read more.
