Hi John,

I assume you are referring to the 3M Roloc Scotch-Brite type pads.

The answer is yes. They are too harsh for aluminums, and should NEVER be used on a cylinder head. There are some alternatives from 3M though. They still attach to the current backi... Login to read more.
