Yes, and no. USB is a much more stable way to commicate with a computer BUT it doesn't have the reach of RS-232C serial. We designed it to draw power from the vehicle but you'll still need a repeater if you try to get past 25ft. Serial we run 75ft without prob... Login to read more. ![]()
