The later model Toyota V6 (5VZ-FE 3.4L) allows the tensioner to be compressed without removing the A/C bracket. The tool is put between the water pump pulley and teh tensioner bearing. Slowly turn the turnbuckle and compress the hydraulic tensioner... Login to read more.
