Tech 2 Battery
Posted to Tool & Equipment Forum on 11/20/2019 26 Replies

Long before I bought a Tech 2, I read that a vehicle with a low battery could be dangerous to the tool. Since I deal with a lot of tow-ins, and I am on an island, pretty much EVERY car here has a low battery.

Now I don't have to worry. I did learn, however, to plug the battery in first. (The tool reset when I did it the other way.)

The battery shown comes with the standard cord that fits most things around the house, like a modem, but all my scan tools have this other size, that is why you see a small adapter cable. Most of you who have one of those lithium pack jump starters (Rockford e.g.) already have the adapter cable in there. Heck, you even already have a battery, but I wanted a little one just for tools.

As a side note this also fits my Solus Ultra, G-Scan, and GeniSYS Evo, and OTC Solarity scope. I was actually thinking about a battery for the OTC stuff before I realized everything had the same port.
