Re: Pico tablet or laptop, yep, I'm jumping ship

I agree with you on Snap-On.I have purchased around $50,000.00 on diagnostic equipment over the years..Sun 500, Simu-tech, Red brick, 1st Vantage that came out, VAT-45 & on & on.The equipment worked very well as far as the designs from a design & engineering standpoint but Snap-on would use the cheapest forms of internal parts as the could as I have repaired the equipment many times myself. What really POED me was after a short time they would just stop supporting said equipment & I am not talking in excess or 15 to 20 years. They dropped upgrades for Simu-tech & the Sun analyzer lines only 5 years after I purchased them.I didn't even have them paid off before the equipment was dropped in favor of newer styles of equipment. And you know most all diagnostic equipment runs on software & software upgrades. Now I have a $50,000.00 boat anchor.I since threw all Snap-on reps out of my shop & refuse to buy from them again. And you know they are still doing it now.Just look at all of the scanners & vantage updated equipment they have produced in the last 10 years. Are they all still supported ????
