Mac tools air hammer
Posted to Tool & Equipment Forum on 9/24/2019 17 Replies

Hi,

My CP 715 air hammer broke after dropping it recently. It did work well but needed to be fixed after one year of using it. Twice I have needed to replace the valve assembly. I would like a air hammer with a .401" shank. I was on the Mac tool truck and there were two air hammers on the truck.

First is the MPH1911 with a two year warranty for $400 and the second is, AH2010 with a one year warranty for $190. These were just air hammers, no kit prices. I can't find many reviews about these two hammers and was wondering if anybody had these hammers and what they thought?

I have seen the Snap-on PH3050B and some like it, some do not. My past experience with snap-on air tools has not been great. I have looked at IR 122 and 118 max hammers, are they any good? Going back to CP I am not sure about.

Thanks for your suggestions.
