Well, in my experience the batteries have lasted longer. I had a $99 DeWalt 12 V 1/2" drill that lasted 5 years, and the mini Ridgid 12 V were still going strong after 5 years. Different experiences, to be sure. Maybe I didn't use mine as much as others. ... Login to read more.
