You can Manually obtain codes on some OBD II Chrysler systems by grounding pin 1 of the 16 pin diagnostic connector. I have personaly done this on 1998 Sebrings, Avengers and Talons. The first flash is slow for the first digit watching the ABS lamp... Login to read more.
