Anyone Have Experience Or Feedback On This

"The Collective" or AEuromotive. It is a technical information website/forum for European brands only. The brainchild of a gentleman well known amongst BMW circles. Anyone a member or used the services before? I had a very lackluster 30 day "free trial" to their site. Lackluster in the sense that the trial only gives you access to the forums, which is basically useless. All of the useful stuff is locked away. I logged on a couple times, was not very impressed, and moved on. Today I got a call from the system admin asking if I was ready to sign up for the full membership. I of course respectfully declined. He asked me why, and noted that I only logged on 4 times. To which I replied yes, nothing to see but some lazy techs on a forum hoping a lucky guess fixes their problem. To which he rebutted with well that is because all of the diagrams and repair info is locked away. You have to be a paying member. Now I'm not exactly splitting the atom anytime soon, but if you are selling a product wouldn't you at least let your potential customer see what you have to offer them? Seems like rudimentary sales tactics 101.

Anyway, this post is not meant to slander anyone. I just legitimately wanted to know if other European techs have used this and what they thought. I'm pretty sure you all know about it.
