tip for removing the pieces:

I have a 5/16 rod that I ground the tip so it kinda fits the metal that stays in the cylinder. I heat it to red-white hot and stick it in the hole and let it heat the pieces. Doing it a couple times it will soften the carbon crap... Login to read more.
