Pre-2003, it's almost guaranteed that a US market tool won't talk to a JDM Toyota with 16P DLC. 2003 to present can be spotty, and that includes Techstream. Early 16P DLC cars used the Denso DST-2, and now they use the DST-i as factory tool.
