all u have to do is leave the pcm unpluged hook up ids and it wont communicate with pcm it will ask u to get the tear tag or pcm part # either or will work u can get tear tag info for free from motor craft servece.com and also they have as built data there once u put tear tag in the scanner will move foward go to programmable module installation and select pcm and it will tell u to turn key off and plug pcm in this tricks the ids into thinking it a blank pcm and will program it was as built data and write the correct vin in for the vehicle and update to latest calibration hope this helps
