GDS2 is scan tool software for the vehicles listed on the chart linked below. GDS2 is NOT backwards-compatible with vehicles that aren't listed. GDS2 does not do any module programming:

Tech2Win is an emulator program that allows Tech2 software to run on a Windows laptop meeting GM's specs. It is used on vehicles that don't require GDS2. There are some limitations to Tech2Win - it won't do remote-method nor pass-thru module programming like a hardware-based Tech2 will. Tech2Win also will not communicate with any module that is not GMLAN (CAN) or Class2. The chart linked below gives specifics:

SPS is pass-thru module programming for use with the Tech2, MDI, or an aftermarket J2534 device. It contains no scan tool software.

TIS2Web is GM's name for the actual website where all of these programs are accessed via subscription.
