How to move a used lift?
Hello gentlemen. I am looking to purchase a used Hunter scissor lift from a distant shop and install this lift back here in Buffalo. My research here turned me on to being patient and waiting for good used lifts to pop up. I figured out that using search-all-craigslist tools like Searchtempest that i could quickly check large amount of craigslist listings. My research here also turned me on to the idea of finding a lift you want somewhere distant, flying there and renting a Uhaul to drive it back. But how do you load the lift onto the truck? Scissor lifts look like each ramp will weigh at least 2500 lbs. Who does the uninstall in the first place, and how long does it take? Once the lift is back home, i'm unsure how to unload the truck then, although i had in mind eventually paying the Hunter rep to install. Lots of guys on here have said they bought used four posters and other drive on lifts, i'm wondering how they got the lifts home. Thanks in advance.
