Very good questions. Resolution, accuracy & repeatability are all separate phenomena. Something can be highly repeatable & entirely inaccurate (e.g. a 14" long ruler marked into 12 divisions each called 1"). Something can resolve highly & be highly inaccurate ... Login to read more.
