Oh I found something, the batteries are 18650 3.6v Li-ion batteries wired in series. Could always buy some on ebay for a couple of bucks and get creative. Look for Ultrafire 18650 batteries. I have a bunch of them here for ultrafire flash lights and the batter... Login to read more.
