I also had the old Makita 9.6 kit, and I have a battery that is 10+ years old that still works. I haven't been as impressed by their newer drills, I just recently upgraded to a Dewalt 12V, but don't have a flashlight. Milwaukee warantees their stuff for 5 year... Login to read more.
