It isn't an issue of whether it has a CAN buss it is an issue of whether it has a CAN diagnostic buss. MBs have had CAN buss networks since 1992 but they didn't have a CAN buss diagnostic interface untill 2003 on one model. BMW didn't have a CAN diagnostic bus... Login to read more.
