Newer VW, BMW, and some isuzu don't have a stick. And you check it neither hot nor cold. You let it cool down below 90 degrees, pull fill plug (on bottom of pan so you have to pump it up in) and let run. If it starts to drain out at like 100 degrees, its full.... Login to read more.
