I believe that some systems used to assume that any IDE device was the boot device. But it may not support bootable CD-ROMs. Not certain about it, but you may need to either add a IDE hard disk as the boot drive, or use a SCSI CD-ROM. I looked at the ASUS web ... Login to read more.
