You may want to investigate a hyper-visor program called VirtualBox by Oracle at http://virtualbox.org. A hyper-visor allows you to create virtual machines using one host machine and one host OS - alleviating the need for hard drive partitioning. Each virtual machine resides in it's own hard drive file and retains exclusivity of other virtual machines and the host operating system. The process would be quite similar for any OE environment, substituting your software for TIS 2000. Hope this is of some help.
