I'm trying to decide if there is a problem and if there is, where do I look.

I have a 1 1/2 year old Dell 1505 laptop that has the 1.8 Core Duo processor, 2g RAM and a 5 year old (approx) P4 2.66, 1.2g RAM desktop.
