To make acrobat open faster do the following:

Go to the Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat6/Acrobat folder.

Copy the plug_ins folder to plug_ins_old.

Erase all but [...],[...], [...], [...], [...] and [...] from the plug_ins folder.
