If you haven't got this fixed yet, here is the fix for 2000/XP.

Run/regedit. Backup the registry and then delete these 4 "folders" from HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT:

HKCR\HTTP\shell\open\ddeexec

HKCR\ftp\shell\open\ddeexec

HKCR\gopher\shell\open\ddeexec
