Good to know, thanks for digging this up.

I have some Total 5w40 Quartz 9000 that I bought for use in Sprinter vans. It has MB 229.5 but is only API SM/CF.

The Sprinters only ask for MB 229.5 but most modern diesels seem to ask for CI or CJ.
