Greetings, everyone!
The Automotive Training Group (ATG) has the following
classes available for the month of June 2018. All classes
run from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. each night for both
evenings, except if indicated below.
=====================================
ADVANCED CIRCUIT & ELECTRICAL TESTING
This class is about using wiring diagrams as part of a
larger strategy to increase testing accuracy and decrease
testing time (and even the number of tests performed). We're
combining wiring information with codes, symptoms, system
interactions, Scan Tool PIDs & controls, and other
observations.
Yes, technicians who struggle with reading diagrams will
gain important new skills. But for advanced technicians,
each minute spent executing well on the bullet points above
saves 10 minutes of testing time, so this seminar offers a
quick payback for your investment. We are confident that
this seminar is exactly what you need to make you more
successful during circuit diagnosis, long before you even
grab your DVOM.
Beginners will win big, but even experienced technicians
know that every new trick makes them better.
*June 27th & 28th - San Diego, CA with Dean Parsons

ADVANCED SCAN TOOL - BEYOND THE FLOWCHART:
This all-new Scan Tool seminar was built using a completely
different approach--to show the best PIDs, controls and
other Scan Tool functions to use for each diagnosis. We have
re-invented Scan Tool training because button-pushing and
menu navigation does not make you more successful. Rather,
success comes when you know your Scan Tool so well that you
can set the flowchart aside and 'make up' your own
diagnostic path. Not only is this path more accurate--it's
quite a bit shorter than the flowchart.
*June 6th & 7th - Salt Lake City, UT with Rick Kelley
*June 11th & 12th - Davie, FL with Wally Mouradian

DIRECT INJECTION & AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS DIAGNOSTICS
This all-new training seminar is the third in our popular
Import series. Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) is simple in
design but difficult to diagnose because the traditional
shortcuts of swapping out parts and disassembling for
inspection are not practical. This is why we have adapted
ATG's 'High Level Indicator' approach for ruling out
possible causes before parts come off. The same approach
applies to induction system diagnostics where repair
information is vague, component access is difficult, and
feedback loops are not always available. For all systems
covered, the approach is first universal, and becomes
manufacturer-specific only after the possible cause and
tool/test lists have been completed and trimmed down. This
seminar and manual were built by analyzing actual diagnostic
struggles and documenting the shortest diagnostic paths for
these systems. Because of this practical approach, you won't
be buried in useless engineering detail -- only useful facts
that you can measure and that will help guide your
diagnostic path. This seminar continues the ATG tradition of
saving you diagnostic time. We're in the 'wasted test
prevention' business, and we hope you can attend!
*June 11th & 12th - Queens, NY with Kris Lewis

FORD 6.0L, 6.4L & 6.7L POWERSTROKE ENGINE PERFORMANCE
Most available Powerstroke information is simply reprinted
and rearranged OEM information mixed with some field
research. While helpful, this strategy mostly repeats the
linear diagnostic process found in all OEM information.
Considering how much time it takes to diagnose and repair
Powerstroke engines, this traditional linear approach could
cost you hundreds in un-billable time.
That is why we've built this manual and training seminar --
to give you ways to peel in quickly to the actual fault
without wasting time or guessing with expensive parts. Like
our General Motors Duramax Training Manual, this Powerstroke
product has been assembled using actual diagnosis & repair
of a wide variety of engine management, emissions, and
trouble code faults. We've included pictures, Scan Tool
captures, Lab Scope waveforms and much more from simple
tests to full teardowns.
*June 4th & 5th - Rochester, NY with Kris Lewis
