My poor son-in-law had a very similar problem 3 or 4 years ago on his rav4, and after a transmission shop rebuilt the trans (at a premium price), he still had the same issues (slipping, etc.) he took it back to that shop and they supposedly found "a bad wire" ... Login to read more.
