Position summary: Automotive Technical Advisor with the Nissan TECH LINE: This is an automotive manufacturer call center (help desk) position that assists Nissan and Infiniti dealer technicians in the U.S. and Canada with vehicle diagnosis and repair.

Job Description: Answer telephone calls from Nissan and Infiniti Dealers and assist with the diagnosis and repair of customer vehicles. Collect information and write brief reports to document repairs. Perform database searches for similar incidents and discuss diagnostics with other team members, engineers and field staff.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge and experience in the diagnosis and repair of cars and light trucks using electronic service manuals and laptop based scan tools. Ability to type at a reasonable speed. ASE Master Technician favored, L1 certification ideal and formal technical training in a Vocational or Trade School a plus. Four or more years of "hands-on" experience in auto mechanics, new car dealership preferred.

Salary range $26 to $32/hr. depending on experience, certifications, training and displayed knowledge.

Automotive instructor or Dealership experience as mechanic, shop foreman or master technician with Ford, Dodge, Chrysler, GM, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Mazda, Hyundai, Mercedes , BMW or other manufacturers are encouraged to apply. This position is staffed through Kelly Services Inc., Nissan's on site partner. It is a full time position, planned long term assignment with future opportunities.

Location: Nissan North America Inc. Field Quality Center in Smyrna, TN (at the Manufacturing Plant site). Nissan relocated to TN in 2006 from Los Angeles. TN has no state income tax, lower cost of living, affordable housing and good schools.
