Linn-Benton Community College in Albany Oregon is looking for a part time instructor to teach our Power trains class. This course prepares students for ASE certification in Manual Drive Train and Axles.

Currently the job posting states teaching experience required however we are more interested in experience as a technician and good communication skills than formal teaching experience.

Job starts first week of January! It is very part time, your class will meet 8:00 AM -12:30 PM on Tuesday - Wednesday and Thursday only. We may be able to provide an additional class (different topics) for the right person.

We are hoping for a working technician who might be able to take advantage of the slow season to try teaching, or a recently retired tech or instructor looking for supplemental income.

Instruction will take place at our brand new Advanced Transportation Technology Center. Lots of new equipment and plenty of space to work with. Directions to our new facility are at http://www.linnbenton.edu/auto/Map_to_ATTC.pdf

This job ends March 21 however our need for part time instructors exists every term of the year. We do not teach over the summer.

Our program is growing with the potential for full time employment in the near future.

The specific job posting is attached and the link to details and application materials is at https://www.jobs.linnbenton.edu/postings/4431
