Bruce makes a great point. If the car has the original transmission in it(Or a year correct replacement) then it will be a 5 bolt bellhousing and will not fit any 302 block (all 302s were 6 bolt). an EARLY 64/65 289 or 260 is always a 5 bolt. All 66 and later(... Login to read more.
