Forgive me, as I'm not a Mercedes tech. If this sounds dumb, disregard:

Can't you scan under generic OBDII and pull freeze frame data that way? Unless Mercedes is different, you only HAVE freeze frame for OBDII related faults anyway, not every possible fault... Login to read more.
