Didn't you test drive a Verus recently? The Verus cable may be the answer.

Anyhow, the Verus Cable has the keys a foot above the OBD connector. I think it is also more flexible in colder weather. I'll check it tomorrow, it is supposed to be -3 here... Login to read more.
