I hooked up my MT2500 to a 94 Camry the other day (16 pin DLC/OBDII) and remembered that I had this problem before:

In the hook-up menu, it states the DLC is in the ashtray to the left of the steering column. It is actually BEHIND the coin tray.... Login to read more.
