Yeah, tight was tight. After breaking 4 axles I was pretty good at replacing them in my '48, but finally put a 9 inch rear end in it. The original axles didn't hold up well to abuse, but I broke 2 just leaving a parking lot driving normally. Raelly, I did, hon... Login to read more.
