Before I got so smart I remember dual carter(not afb's)4-bbl on a 265 Chevy shifting at 8500 rpm's and a Ford 272 with 3-2 bbl coming a part at 5500 rpm's.(Valve float with no valve clearance) Live and learn. More was always better.:o)
