On most old cars (maybe even up to the 30s or so), that is exactly how they work. Engine vacuum draws the fuel into the canister; shuts off when it reaches a certain point. It then uses the head pressure of the column of fuel to gravity feed the updraft carbur... Login to read more. ![]()
