Hi Lee, I own a 2000 Silverado and had the same issue. The truck must be started cold after sitting 8 hours. Let it idle until it gets to running temp, then take it out for a drive at 50 MPH for about 5 miles steading. Do Not have any scanners plugged in durin... Login to read more.
