I've seen some CA 95 year Mazdas set cat codes, but do not recall a Ford doing so. I wouldn't rule that possibilty out.

As for clearing the one code, multiple passed drive cycles on the EGR will eventually clear it out. That's terribly time consuming though.... Login to read more.
