My worldwide Bar 97 doesn't require there to be any power at pin 16. Grounds do matter though. I also have a few makes that our OBDII software (vertronix module)doesn't speak with such as Hyundais in the 96-99 range. Not all of the same make/model, only some. ... Login to read more.
