As was said, if the car is 96 or newer, you will need an OEM cat to maintain legal requirement. If its a 95.5 car with OBD 1.5, you CAN use an aftermarket according to the letter of the law...but many wont be up to the task and the code may reset in a year or ... Login to read more.
