I would think a MAF problem OR a vacuum leak (false air, pre or post throttle body) might affect your vehicle in that way.

If the PCM sees LESS air thru the MAF than it expects at a given CTS/RPM/TPS, it has to ass-u-me that the air out there is thinner. So ... Login to read more.
