Find the mixture solenoid. Its on the firewall behind the carb. It modulates the vacuum from 0 to 5". I think it goes up to 5" to lean out the mixture. Two hoses lead to the top of the carb. One goes to a diaphragm inside the carb, it should hold vacuum & lean... Login to read more.
